RocketPower Spotlight - Ayla MacEachern

“Swiss Army Knife” / HR and Business Operations Manager
Ayla was chosen to start our Employee Spotlight series due to her incredible work here at RocketPower. She has been involved in all aspects of the business and is an extremely valuable employee. We are incredibly lucky to have her here at RocketPower and are excited to see what the future will bring!
What made you want to join RocketPower?
I was asked if I was looking for a new gig and I said, "not really... But if something absolutely amazing came along I would consider it”. The opportunity for "something absolutely amazing" did come along! With the opportunity at RocketPower, I was able to dive deep into business development, people operations, travel, and be mentored by a leader who has vast knowledge of the recruiting industry through many highs and lows. I couldn’t pass it up and I have never looked back.
Briefly describe your role here at RocketPower…
“Swiss Army Knife” - wherever RocketPower needs me, that is where I go. I support the leadership team across the company to execute on initiatives set, improve processes along the way, and encourage alignment between teams while managing day to day resources and tasks across teams.
What core value do you resonate with most? (SOFE - Seek to Understand, Ownership Mentality, First Things First, Everybody Wins)
Ownership Mentality - I am one who truly believes that even if you do something wrong, you own it. Without an ability to own your successes as well as failures, you are never truly able to grow.
What is your favorite thing about working at RocketPower?
There is never a dull day - constant movement - constant challenges to find solutions for.
What is your favorite thing to do outside of work/your interests or hobbies/anything you’d like to highlight about yourself?
I do a lot of volunteer work which I am passionate about and have travelled all over the world doing. I love to sing, take spontaneous long drives, go hiking, and I will pretty much hop on a plane and travel/work from anywhere.
What is a fun fact about yourself that most people don’t know?
I completed my freshman year of high school in Edinburgh, Scotland at St. Margaret’s School for Girls.
