About the role

POSITION SUMMARY:
Analyzes and coordinates all data related to the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation for new and revised products. Ensures deadlines are met at the plant locations and ensure milestones are communicated in an effective manner to the Project Coordinator. Maintains strong customer and supplier relations. Assists in maintaining a system to assure that all products are manufactured to meet customers' specifications and achieve superior reliability levels.

Here is what you will do...
1. Conduct dimensional inspection of PPAP or First Article Inspection (FAI) sample components, including coordinating PPAP sample part activities with manufacturing.
2. Evaluate testing results and supporting documentation of PPAP or FAI samples to determine conformance to PPAP requirements.
3. Create and maintain PPAP files and documentation in support of PPAP guidelines for new products during design and development, including process flow diagrams, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEAs), and control plans, and maintain these documents during the life of the product.
4. Provide technical assistance to the supplier, customer, and internal personnel for the understanding of PPAP requirements. Includes submission of PPAP documentation to customers.
5. Oversee APQP activities and coordinate with Product Development, Project Coordinators, and other departments as needed. Includes coordinating efforts with other areas to integrate APQP.
6. Maintains and controls calibration records for all test and inspection equipment.
7. Responsible for entering Quality Control (QC) testing requirements in Syteline for all QC parts requiring incoming inspection.
8. Tracks quality of production and reports to area managers or Production Support of quality issues. Shuts down production when necessary.
9. Must understand the Quality System Manual and Quality System Procedure Manual as it relates it to the Internal Standards Organization (ISO) 9001:2015 standard. Provides direction for Monticello manufacturing in following the ISO guidelines.
10. Performs Internal, Good Manufacturing processes (GMP) and Dock audits as warranted. Follows up on audit non-conformances.
11. Cross-trains with Quality Manager to assume duties during the time of absence/vacation.
12. Travels to other manufacturing locations when necessary.
13. Other duties as assigned or directed by the Director of Quality or Quality Manager, including (but not limited to) acting as a technical resource for Polo quality and production associates.
 
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Here is what you will need to qualify...

Education: High School Degree, some college courses in a technical field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of applied experience.

2. Working knowledge of ISO and/or equivalent quality management system standard
3. Ability to read and accurately interpret customer technical drawings or prints
4. Ability to multi-task and manage several projects at one time. Must have the ability to prioritize workload
5. Ability to work effectively in a diverse work environment.
6. Must be a TEAM player.
7. Good investigative and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail

10. Use basic and precision measuring instruments
11. Organized, responsible, punctual and self-disciplined

14. Computer knowledge. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
15. Ability to maintain accurate records
16. Follow oral and written instructions
17. High School diploma or equivalent preferred

1. Close visual work on the computer for long periods of time.
2. Ability to read, write and communicate 100% of the time via phone, e-mail or in person to internal and external customers.
3. Must be able to travel independently including international travel.
