About the role

As one of our Technical Recruiters, you'll help us build our client's global engineering teams. You will partner with hiring managers, define their hiring strategy, build candidate pipelines, and grow our technical teams.


This is a remote position, open to any location in Japan.

You Will:

  • Team up with hiring managers to build strategies and pipeline: source, assess, and close high caliber candidates in the client's engineering team
  • Support ad hoc projects as needed and be willing to do whatever it takes at a moment’s notice to capitalize on an opportunity; the market moves quickly and so should you
  • Clearly explain total rewards including cash as well as RSUs and all other compensation elements
  • Continuously build a network of potential candidates, conduct in-depth interviews
  • Partner with hiring managers on creating a strategic plan for sourcing and recruiting candidates with a diverse background 
  • Source and identify passive people to build Engineering teams through use of boolean, online tools, and unique sourcing techniques
  • Focus on inclusive recruiting practices

You Have:

  • 5+ years of full lifecycle technical recruiting experience, including VC-backed startup experience and an unwavering ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record of success in building strong partnerships with Engineering team and stakeholders
  • Deep curiosity and a desire to learn as much as possible about the client's business
  • A highly collaborative approach, understanding the value of internal relationships
  • A passion for building teams and delivering the best candidate experience
  • Ability to think creatively and critically, and thrive in a fast-paced and often ambiguous work environment
  • Desire to represent yourself, RocketPower, and the client with integrity and courtesy
  • Understanding of recruiting metrics and how to utilize them to influence hiring decisions
  • Experience with modern ATS applications. Lever OK, preferably Greenhouse
  • Familiarity with modern collaboration platforms like Slack and Mattermost
  • Experience in cyber security is a plus
