We are seeking a junior-intermediate level Analyst to join our Accounting & Finance team in Credit Risk & Collections Analyst for our downtown Calgary location. The successful incumbent will analyze customer’s credit lines detecting the accounts exceeding established limits in amount and terms activating the corresponding collection. In addition, this individual will perform periodic financial analytics based on balance sheets provided by customers, and in conjunction with our credit policy guidelines.  

Responsibilities:
Provides information on cash inflow by making collection projections.
Makes the collection estimate program analyzing customers current accounts and payment terms.
Complies with defined exposure limits monitoring through management indicators credit excesses and collection delays.
Reduces risk exposure conditions proposing alternative coverage for commercial and political risks.
Supports credits to be granted by managing and administering credit insurances.
Minimizes overexposure risks by analyzing future exposure for all our clients.
Verifies invoices approval status checking insurance coverage and other credit guarantees.
Maintains credit lines in the systems according to corresponding authorization.
Risk mitigation, Account Receivables and review of sales contracts.
Complies with our policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.
Protects from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to his/her area.
 
 Education/Experience/Skills:
A post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is required
Less than 7 years’ experience in credit and collections would be considered an asset
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required
Previous experience in SAP, HighRadius and MS Access would be an asset.
The ability to effectively manage and prioritize work
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
